Brake Failure
Immediate: Slow down with foot braking (heel against rear tire) and find a safe stop.
Inspect: Check for severed hoses or missing pads.
Recover: Shift to a low gear manually and walk the bike back.
Battery Depleted
Sign: Rapid red LED flash; shifting unresponsive.
Fix: Switch to manual mode if available and lock into a mid-range gear.
Backup: Carry a portable charger—a 10-minute USB top-up can get you home.
Signal Loss
Sign: Lever clicks produce no shift; LED stays dark.
Fix: Hold the function button for 10 seconds to force a system restart.
Backup: Manually push the derailleur to a usable gear if needed.
Dropped Chain
Fix: Loop the chain back onto the smallest cog.
Inspect: Check if H/L limit screws have loosened.
Prevent: Avoid extreme cross-chain combinations.
